Manual of lack therof

I just bought Icewind Dale, I opened the box and much to my suprise there was no manual, is this normal? Is there a manual on the cd? Haven't installed it yet so don't know. Hope it's a good game, I was interested in creating my own party sound's good. Can't stand waiting for Icewind Dale II and Neverwinter Nights.

What sort of box - regular game box, budget game, DVD case?

IWD shipped with a small manual. Maybe yours is missing or budget versions of the game have a CD manual.

Is it second hand?

It's a normal box. It's not used, picked it up for $16 I thought it was a good price even if it was an old game (I figure IWD II and NWN may not be released for another few months at this point). It came with a quick reference card and a map but no manual, those are the most useful. Is there anywhere I can download one? Like in .pdf format?

Sounds like your manual *is* missing...

Not sure, do a web search for "icewind dale manual". I don't think you'll be lucky, they don't like online manuals in case people have copied the CD's. Write to them (don't forget to include your purchase receipt)?

PS If you're desperate, but can wait, I could post you mine next time I visit my Brother in NYC. I don't use the manual anymore.

Think they would send me one for the little piece on the bottom of the box that says ISBN some numbers and has a bar code. Don't think I have the receipt. Anyhow I'll contact support and see what's up. Don't know if they stopped packaging it with the game that'd be so lame. There is a PDF file on one of the cd's so that's kind of ok.

Indeed, theres no manual in the box, but i wast really dissapointed, the rules to the game is almost the same as in BG, so i didt go to download it anywhere.
