locked out by Y

The fight against Y is very tough so my troop hurt her then retreat and rest. Alas, she locked us out. A thief with open lock over 85% did not work. The spell (knock) also to no avail. What can I do?

hmmm, i've retreated from the entire level and rested before and still been able to get back in to finish off the bad guys, but the door locks behind you when you enter that room until Y is dead so that is why you are locked out. You may need to use the CLUA console to teleport your party into the room.

Before the HoW add-on that was a cheesy tactic, to retreat and then rest so that you could kill her.
Just take it slow. Don't charge in her room. Send one person to start the battle, retreat him/her back to the others and then cast on the entrance spells like web, grease, entangle and mass spells like cloud kill, snowballs or fireballs. The idea is to keep her away from your party for as long as possible and to hit her with spells, taking out her goons in the process. Conlan's hammer and Erevain's sword have the best chances of hurting her unless you bought some other weapon with at least +2 enchantment.

Actually the first time I was lucky and beat her but the thief died and I can't recover his magic armor and crossbow. But the next 4-5 times my troops were killed. So I keep the first victory and used Dale Keeper to put back the armor and crossbow to the thief.

It seems that once that door( the first from her room ) is locked by her spell, I can't open it, either in or out. That is another factor to consider for my next troops. Hopefully they can defeat her w/o retreating.
