Lil help pls!

this is the first time ive posted on this forum and id love it if it were for somthing else other then this damn bug. maybe i havent troubleshooted this problem enough yet im hoping its easily fixable cuz i sure love the series, anyways im on heart of winter right now, and i cant get anywhere cuz every single time i try and rest ( be it in the inn or outside ) IWD crashes... sound familliar 2 anyone?

I haven't heard of a particular bug like that, and I'm sure I would have.

Perhaps it's a corrupted file. Have you tried to re-install HoW?

yes i have, over and over in fact. i dont know why or how but for some reason i always run into problems like this, lol this isnt the first time ive had to forum hop for soulutions (X,X). and btw the windows error box that comes up to report yadda yadda to mircrosoft, theres no specific info or name of the error either theres just pages and pages of random data >.<

Have you tried changing your graphics settings? What's your computer specs?

I've also heard that some of these older games don't get along too well with Vista.

I've tried iwd1 with vista. It crashes a lot.

Vista can co-exit with XP. Try a multi-boot.

yeah my specs are coverd, my graphics settings are on low and as far as im aware of the laptop im on only has 1 form of boot. what is vista btw?

yeah ive tryed every single damn thing i can think of. i messed with all the optios i downloaded the patch i screwd around with the res, and i reinstalled it a few times. im going nuts here >.<

What is your current operating system?

Where did you get the game from? Did you buy it as a hard copy or did you buy it as a download?

What patch are you using? In what order are you installing the game and patches?
