Laggy game, please help

Ok, my IWD game with HoW installed is really laggy. I mean like when you pick something up in the inventory, it takes like 1 sek for it to actually get in my hand, or when i rightclick to bring a spell description up, it also laggs badly.

I have a 700 Mhz AMD
896 mb RAM
GeForve 4

So i don't think my comp is to bad for it.

Have you tried turning the detail level down? Go to the IWD config from your start menu and turn the detail level down to that of a PC below yours.

Oh, and clear out all your caches and stuff, yeah? Reduce the number of search nodes for pathfinding, that sort of thing.

It sucks but has to be done if you want to play faster. I've done the same playing on a 1.1 GHz laptop with BG2.
