Does Heart of Winter add a short cut key for sleeping? Also if I have a group of characters I'm playing with without the expansion if I install it can they access it and can they go up to the new level cap?

"z" worked for sleep in bg2, so you could try that.
Yes, your party will have the option to play HOW.

Nah z dosen't work plus I checked out all the hotkey mapping stuff and there is not even a function that I know of that I can use to link to a hotkey to rest. In any case not as annoying as in BG where you had to go into a interface screen different from the main game interface to rest. But hey if we find one for IWD it will most likely work in BG.

I heart of winter experience increases with difficulty, correct? Is there any way someone knows of altering IWD without any expansions to do the same thing. And nobody knows about the rest hotkey, nobody knows my sorrow?

Yeah, in "start... programs....etc.... icewind dale config" you can or form "configure" from the CD autorun you can change the difficulty setting to make it tougher/get more XP.

And I don't know what the shortcut key is for resting, so you'll have to keep on suffering.

Yeah but you don't get any extra experience if you do not have heart of winter installed.
