How do I identify objuects without the identify spell. Is there any place in town that will do it, for a fee of course?

Most temples and shops will identfy for 100gp per item. There is a "?" button inside such establishments.

Alternatively, have a bard in your party - high lore values identify for free. Or a mage with high Int & Wis. This can be supplemented with potions of Int & Wis to temporarily increase lore.
