| | | Help on Icewind Dale install
I bought Icewind Dale, Heart Of Winter expansion and Icewind Dale II for 20eruos. Now I have a big problem. As I try to install Icewind Dale, I put install to start. But I wait about 30min and it wont start. Then I restart my comp and as the comp is shutting down the install starts. Anyone expiriencin this problem? Anyway to fix this problem? I really would like to play Icewind Dale throjugh before second one but it seems that now I have no other choice than to play second one first...Please, help...

| | | I had this problem when I first bought the game a few years back, and can't remember exactly what I did to fix it. It was something stupid, and almost by chance, I think, to get it to work. I suggest trying to install it from a fresh boot of your system, and possibly don't use the autoplay, but run it directly. Sorry I can't help you more, but it's been over four years since I had this problem, and my memory of the solution is hazy. Hopefully it works, IWD is a great game, and in my opinion, better than the sequel. |

| | | Got it installed, just as BGRocks told, after fresh reboot straight from the stepu file, not through autoplay...

Don't forget to download the second expansion, Trials of the Luremaster, you can still get it free at some places.
