Game crushes...serious help wanted ! - possible spoilers for newbies
There is this an old fatal bug in the game where after you kill the Frost Giant Joril in the glacier and take the second badge, the game crashes when you try to move on to the next area.
I have finished the game many times in the past, with or without HoW installed, but that was long ago and now it doesn't seem to be working whatever installation and patch combination I try.
Does anyone know how to overcome this ?? Sorry for adding just another cry for help topic but I'm rather desperate here... Thanks in advance.
It's an old one but you could try emptying out your cache? Other than that all the patches which you seem to have done anyway..... i can't think of anything else off hand.
Are there still any creatures nearby, have you tried different methods of getting the badge there are 2 IIRC.

After extensive searching I've discovered that there is a UKpatch for IWD (not HoW) that promises to fix this particular problem. So, it remains to be seen. Thnks anyway mr Sleep for trying to help.
