Failed Assertion

When I first installed Icewind Dale I installed recommended program. when I got to the cave opening for Lower Dorn's Deep I crashed and got this note.
{An Assertion failed in Infinity.cpp at line 1763. Programmer says: Demand for WED file failed} So I moved my saved files to somewhere safe and uninsalled and reinstalled the game. I stilled crashed witrh same Assertion note.

So I uninstalled again, deleting the game and installed again using the full program installation. Now I am back to the cave opening for Lower Dorn's Deep and I crashed again. I tried saving the game somewhere safe and unistalling and reinstalling to no avail.

I always try to search for an answer before I post but this time I totally missed it. I installed the UK patch and it I was able to enter the cave. I had no clue I had a UK version of the game as I buy all my games from ebay. We can close this thread.
