Covers of IceWind Dale

This was posted in IceWind Dale 2 forum. Who is on the double headed symbol? I think it is Heart of Winter Cover. Also I am guessing the tree on the forst one is in Kuldahar?.. Are they both females?

Hmm...i checked the covers.I only got the original one and true,it is the Kuldahar tree.But then i found that heart of winter was also on the cover(little picture under the disk).I have never played it but i think it looked like a elemental dragon of some sort.What do you mean with are they both females?

Mybe it is Shadow's of Amn, I am thinking of. I am not at right now, for a while. Its is a disk with two heads with head dresses one on top of the other facing opisite directions.

That's Shadows of Amn. Following spoilers:
I think it's supposed to represent an elf and a drow. Their fight over Suldannesselar as well as Irenicus' and Bodhi's exile from the elves and support of the drow.

IWD cover shows the tree at Kuldahar and HoW shows the dragon, Isaracht- the final enemy of the game.

Yeah I kind of thought elf and drow. One being an underdark rep and such.

To me, those two faces dont look very elven, and I always thought theyre supposed to be represantations of the paths that the Bhaalchild could follow - i.e. the "dark" and "light" side (embracing Bhaal's essence or rejecting it).
But then, its probably just me.

I was also surprised that the cover from Icewind Dale 2 is supposed (according to postings on the Iwd2 board) to picture the "twins", while Ive just interpreted the guy as a generic tiefling and the gal as an asimaar (or elf, or half-elf...basically just showing off the novel PC races) since they dont share that many similarities with the ingame avatars of the twins (red skin or wings frex).
Of course it could just be that the cover was designed before the developers had made a final draft about the twins' appearance.
