Changing the sighting radius?

Is there any editor (or any other way) out there that lets me change the range of sight of a character?
Or does someone know about any items in this game that affect a character's sighting radius somehow?

Not that I know of. The closest thing I can think of is the resolution in the Config menu, but that of course changes your viewing perspective (moves it back a little), not those of individual characters.
