Can't kill Belhifet!!! Please HELP!

I can't seem to kill Belhifet. I can get him down to "Almost Dead" but he won't actually die.

Does this have something to do with the HoW expansion?

What exactly are we talking about here? Do you whack at him for ages on "Almost Dead"? Does he kill your party before you get him?

Belhifet is *very* tough and it takes ages to change his status. I haven't faced him on HoW yet so maybe they made him tougher. Have you checked out the strategies yet?

Thanks for your reply, Gruntboy. After staying up until 2:45 AM, I determined that it was a BUG!

Here's what happened: After Belhifet's dialog, he immediately charges the party along with the two iron golems. My first action was for my bard to blow the Bardic Horn of Valhalla, summoning warriors directly infront of Belhifet at the top of the screen. While they kept him busy, my party took care of the golems.

Here's where it got interesting. After the golems died, Belhifet starts randomly transporting around the outer edge of the circle. He DOES NOT attack.

My strategy at this point was to catch up to him and wack him and get out before he does his little flaming dimension door trick. The problem was that he would never die; he just stayed at "Almost Dead." Before I realized this was a bug, I spent 30 minutes hacking at him and did about 250 more points of damage.

It was the Bardic Horn of Valhalla thing that triggered the bug. Once I changed my strategy, I killed him and watched the closing movie.

How frustrating! I have the current patch installed.
