| | | Marksman questions Hello
I started a Marksman. I like the way how I have to do something more than just click. (As opposed to other Action- RPGs.)
Anyway, I just turned lvl 10, and I'm wondering how to keep spending skill points. I got something along these lines: 1 in Sniper, 1 in Tactical Stance (got it for free), 4 in Rapid Fire, 1 in Ricochet, 1 in Critical, 1 in Beacon.
I'm wondering if the Strikes & Grenades are worth it? Does anybody have experience with it?
Also, should I upgrade Sniper or Tactical Stance? Tactical Stance comes over as "Poor Man's Sniper" to me.
As for weapons, I currently have a Physical Assault Rifle (the splash damage variant), a Voltgun (Electricity) and a Poseidon Sniper (Spectral). Is this a decent set up?
Thanks in advance for any advice! |

| | | For my Marksman, I invested in Sniper and left Tactical Stance and all its branches untouched. I also didn't take the Rapid Fire skills. What I took was Escape, Beacon and am now waiting to take the Homing Shot boost. Oh yeah, I also invested in the Level 1 Dead Eye.
My weapons are also similar to yours (level 11 cha), except in place of the Physical Assault Rifle, I have a Trident Rocket Launcher.

| | | Thanks. The Physical Assault Rifle is pretty awesome, IMO, and serves as "all purpose".
So, you haven't tried grenades & strikes either? |

| | | Erm, no. I did have Smackdown once, courtesy of an enchanced weapon. Didn't work too well for me. So I decided to go far a more passive, damage dealing type.

| | | I started playing this game couple of days ago, and basing for that experience I would say grenades are somewhat useful. Especially in case of smaller beasts, it's much easier to take them down with well aimed grenade, as well as some other low-end creatures. So, one or two point for every grenade could be usefull, at least those were for me.

| | | I invested a point in Fire Grenade, and yes, it has its uses, mainly to cause Ignite. |

Grenade and precision strike skills will improve as your character levels up, so investing in them can be decent. Just spend a skill point to unlock them though. In my opinion, the most useful effect when dealing with bosses is ignite, so I guess the Explosive Grenade is a pretty wise investment.

| | | Still, the Fire Grenade can be a bugger to aim correctly. |

| | | I find grenades easier to aim than the precision strikes, despite the huge AOE of the latter.

| | I never even considered touching the Strikes. I'm more or less pleased with the point in Fire Grenade. I'm a lot more disappointed by the two points in Ricochet. |

| | Oh yeah. Richochet is definitely not recommended. Didn't I say I was saving for homing shot instead?

| | | Uh, no. Though there is a trainer to help you get more skill points. I posted the link in another thread.

| | I've been using the phase grenade a lot. I love how it sticks where you throw it and causes lower level enemies to phase... | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
