Hellgate: Opinions? (no spoilers)

I am comsidering buying Hellgate somewhere in the near future. But from reviews which I have read (which Siberys asked me to disregard), the game does not fare so well. So I would like to know how the gameplay is, plus how good is the storyline. You are also welcome to point out any bugs that exists. Bottomline, is this game going to be worth my time?

P.S Just finished MotB, so it will have a pretty high standard to live up to.

Well like all action/RPG's it isn't deep. It's an action game and although it has character development there's little RPG elements in it. It is a fun game and it's fast paced with lots of item drops and combat ala Diablo and Dungeon Siege. Not to the standard of NWN2 though and if you're looking for a similar game it's probably not the one.
