Favourite Class/Build

Seeing as Hellgate is pretty similar to the Diablo games, I can envision people asking about pretty much the same kinds of stuff. I'm already pissed off with the limited storage space, as I was in Diablo. Luckily, I can now break down stuff to avoid making back trips to the stations just to sell all my loot.

Before I go off the track, I suppose this thread is for all you Hellgate players here at GB to state which class you think is best, and any comments or suggestions are also welcome. For me, I'm currently hooked on the Engineer. His Inhibitor Bots make him very hard to be sneaked up on, and since I'm concentrating on my Drone, I suppose it will be a marvelous character.

I rather like the Marksman, it gives me the chance to use multiple array's of guns for different tactics and different demons, set up area's where I can snipe or run straight through a platoon of zombies with a grenade and machine gun.

Pretty fun character actually. Though, on many areas, she can be rather invincible, which I don't particularly like. When I can go through three or four levels in a row without being harmed at all (aside from maybe my shield), I think there might be a balance issue with this character.

The Marksman and Engineer are basically under the same class. Only thing is the Marksman can deal more damage and the Engineer can either have a tanking drone or an army of robots.

Has anyone tried out the sword wielding classes? I'm not sure if playing those classes allow you to go into first person.

I've also played a blademaster. You can only go into first person with a gun, wielding swords makes it impossible.

Sword wielding classes are fun until you start fighting enemies that have ranged attacks that deal decent damage while you're still trying to run up to them.

I have cabalist-summoners. She can be hard to play sometimes. I like that she can have pets to help out. But draw back you can't control them. Right now I'm in act 4.

I don't think you can control any minions you summon. Even the Engineer is helpless at controlling his creations. *Sigh* I'm only in the first Act and at level 15... Do you know how the game calculates the amount of damage Evocation spells can cause with respect to the focus items?

Or unique enemies that are constantly exploding or can infect you with negative effects.

You're opinion is great but please leave the language out of it. You can say what's on your mind without trying to bypass our word censor.

I believe that it is because Blademasters and Guardians are meant to be a sword wielding class. Case in point, almost all the Blademaster skills require him to have a sword. So I guess guns are mainly for them to get off one or two opportunity attacks before the enemy closes them down.

I don't think you can.
