Shy Deer

I've killed three. I've not been able to find any others. I've combed the entire area, slept to the next day several times. Even killed several packs of wolves in the area on the assumption they were scaring off the deer.... Any help?

Unfortunately deer scatter a lot and there's quite a few more than 3. If you want to finish this quest you'll just have to keep looking and search the country side. It helps to keep your sight range on high (video settings) and keep your bow equipped, so creature names can be seen at great distance.

I've come across lots of "regular" deer.. but no more "shy" deer.. all detail settings are on high, bow is equipped and readied... so far .. nada... debating whether to restart new character...

Do as you like of course, a restart is rather drastic though. You'd be amazed how many posts can be found on various G3 forums about these deer. It's nog a bug, they're just scattered. If you keep playing you're bound to run into em sooner or later.

*cough* I actually found myself in the same situation, did some forum searching thinking it was a bug, eventually I found all the shy deer though

Good luck

I just bagged one of the missing two, halfway between Chris and Ardea. Saw the 2nd, but only had time to shoot one while the other disappeared.. 11 days game time has elapsed (according to the save file). I'll try again in about a week's time..
