| | | Gothic III System Requirements? I was just wondering if anyone had any information on the minimum sytem requirements for the forthcoming Gothic 3. I've had a look around but can't really find much info on this as most of the sites seem to be in German.
Thanks.

| | I've been looking around at quite a number of gaming sites and can't find any information about the system requirements. Seems to be to early to release any specifics at the moment. Might have to wait for a while before they divulge any information. From what I can guess from the screenshots and videos, I hope that the system requirements will be much lower than Oblivion.

| | Its getting released in October so surely they must release the specs soon - I hope they do anyway. Its annoying though because most of the info about it seems to be in German. My German is pretty good but not good enough to translate pages of technical stuff
Thats my concern. I really want to play Gothic 3 but if its like Oblivion then there is no way my system could handle it.

| | | You're right. Its almost near the release date, although its still a month away to October. Maybe when they release a demo then they'll reveal its system specs, I guess. But from what I can tell, usually when a developer release a demo of a game to the public, the system specs will be known by then. And about the language of the game, I hope they managed to flesh out the translations before its release.

Geforce 3 or Geforce 4 does look kind of low for any game released for this year. Most games I know of need a graphics card of roughly the equivalent of ATI Radeon 9/X series or Geforce FX/6/7 series as a bare minimum.

| | | If that is fact, for the requirements and all, then I might be able to run it on low graphics. Oblivion I needed oldblivion to play, but this, I have a decent vid card to support something like this I believe. 256MB FX 5500, I need to get a new one, but if they come out with an oldgothic modification or the specs can be turned down enough, I hope to be able to play this. |

| | | Since that poster mentioned that it came from a German gaming magazine (PC Action), I think it could be official. The system requirements seems more in line with most of the current games out there. I think my system should be able to run it, though I might have to do some adjustments.

Going by those specs, my system may be able to run it if I turn off the 'fancy' extras

| | | I re-read the post just today and I'm having some doubts about the system requirements. It has to be authentic, sure, seeing that the poster mentioned that it came from a German gaming magazine, PC Action. However, upon closer inspection, I started to wonder if that's the final specs because seeing that this information was mentioned before Gothic 3 went gold, there might be some changes. Not to mention that the system requirements mentioned in that magazine does look kind of sparse compared to the system requirements mentioned in any released game.

| | | I agree they are not really very specific system requirements but I imagine they are probably close to the basic final requirements. The final requirements will no doubt be a bit more specific though.
