Question Any way to convert Gothic II Polish to English ?

Hey guys,
I'm absolutely new to this forum. Found it while searching for a way to play Gothic 2 in English. I've managed to get the Polish version off a friend. Is there any way to convert it to english by replacing any of the voice/text packs ?? If so which all files are to be replaced. Any guidance in this direction will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

With Gothic 1 you can change the voice/sound files to the English voice/sound files. I bought the German copy and subsituted the official English demo sound files in place of some of the German sound files and that worked fine, but the Demo only has the sound files for a third of Chapter 1. You can also change the subtitles to English and I think there is an official patch for this but again I'm not sure. In the end I just bought the International Gothic 1 which was English.

I know you are talking about Gothic 2 but I imagine its a similar process and so can be done. Whether it is legal to do so is another matter. When I did it with Gothic 1 I did just use the official demo that I had downloaded so it was entirely legal as I effectively had two copies on my PC that I was entitled to have. If you want to change the files from Polish to English then you should email the developers and ask them if it is ok for you to change the sound files. If they say yes then you can ask them where you might get these files. I'd make sure to get the publisher/developer's permission first though as I'm not sure if someone sending those files would breach copyright etc. but if you already own a legal copy of the game then I don't see why they would have a problem with this when you do email them and may even send you the necessary files.
