Yeah, I know this is REAL retro for 99% of the board but I wanted to let folks know that I'm finishing up a Let's Play of this SSI game. If anyone has questions, please feel free to ask.

Brings back memories: I reviewed it in the mid-80s. Thanks for bringing that up!

Hello,

Wow I loved those games... I think part 2 was my fav and it seems that there were 3 of them... I honestly cant remember that far back and of course they were on the blazing fast C64!!! I was thinking of these games not long ago and about how they were what a game was suppose to be... Wish we had those games to play now, Im just such a fan of classics... Wizardry series, D&D series (all of them), Bards Tale!!!! (again all 3 of them) 2 being my favorite....

The kids today dont know about patience, it use to take me 2 plus hours to do a game setup with a C64 or even my Tandy 1000 with built in MSDOS woot got the first hard drive you could purchase and it was a 1 gig for about 250 bucks from radioshack... Can you imagine to setup a game you had to make a game disc which took around 2hours plus to make and alot of the times the game disc would fail so you would have to do this again and sometimes even again before it would work right.... Yeah there was some good ole days but alot of brain fart days....

Anyway I enjoyed the thoughts...

Thanks for the reply! Finishing Phantasie I has led to requests to do more SSI games in the 8 bit era. I'm not talking Gold Box, but going thru and finishing both Wizard's Crown and Eternal Dagger.

I'm on game day 15 for Wizard's Crown. I'll probably do the inevitable night fights around day 25-50. It depends on the weapons I find, but I have two really good ones now.

Oh man. That's SUPER RETRO and awesome.

I played one of the Phantasie games. I do not know which one. Maybe III?

I played it in 1987 I believe.
