From the ones listed, Fallout. Definitely a good game, both of them originals, and the BoS, even though not a success, was fun to play.

I havent seen mention to Baldur's Gate there, but I'd vote BG if it was on the list.

Of the mentioend, I voted Eye of the Beholder, because it was amongst the first RPG-ish games I ever played (actually - I think it was the second), but with DaggerFall getting Elder Scrolls into an honorable mentioning

Although of the listed, Fallout was likely the best in my book.

Edit: Phantasie 1 + Phantasie 3 was the first RPGs I played (C64 ports to the PC). Excellent games, well ahead of their time.

Definitely Fallout 2. I played BoS also, but its not nearly as good as Fallout 2.
It was my first RPG and it is a very fun game.

And Xandax if you have time, please answer my pm.

Ultima, at least, through the seventh title. I would just as soon forget the last two ever happened.

Ultima for sure. Used to play them as kid, when gaming had nothing to do with jaw dropping graphics or ear blowing audio. It was all soul back then.

I voted Elder Scrolls, seeing as Morrowind was one of the few RPG's I played through, enjoyed, and played again, but the KOTOR series is a close second if not tied, i was surprised to not see that one up their, while KOTOR II was defintely lacking in my opinion, KOTOR I is in my top ten list of all time fav. games... *reminds self to make that list*, they did a stellar job with it, i hope that when it comes time to make KOTOR III, Bioware does it again.

I tried to stay away from recent titles like the Star Wars: KotOR series and left the Infinity Engine series off the list because I figured it would be a landslide if they were included. These options basically represent the classic RPGs from 2000 and before (excluding Morrowind).

I voted Ultima... it made me realize I was different from the other arcade-game-playing jokers: I was into RPGs.

However, I want two votes! While Ultima (and later, Baldur's Gate) felt like I was part of a great *story*,
SYSTEM SHOCK felt like I was part of a great *movie*.

But, the entire list... it's all good, baby!

This one?

I did not know that Baldur's gate had an infinity engine, but then again, I never played it. If you ever saw the amount of posts in Baldur's gate, it does kind of give away why Baldur's gate would not be included, however...

I had several favorites up there, but for some reason, when viewing the poll, I saw that no one had voted for the original (?) Bard's Tale, so I went for it. Although I enjoyed many other games up there, I thought that Bard's Tale itself deserved at least some recognition. Although Ultima would probably be up there too...

I picked Eye of the Beholder, I haven't had the chance to play the original, but I did play a newer adaption though Neverwinter Nights and really liked the storyline.
Other than that, I've only played Morrowind from the Elder Scrolls series on that list.
