2008 was a pretty solid year for RPGs, but which title hooked you the most?

Shouldn't we wait until the end of the year before asking this? I don't know how likely it is, but Age of Decadence still might make it out in time.

Everything I've read and seen indicates to me that Age of Decadence is still a ways off. Rise of the Argonauts was the only remaining RPG I could think of, but that's been pushed to 2009. At this point, I don't think 2008 is going to get another RPG.

So um.... Why is Space Siege on that list?

Mass Effect was the best game of the last.... hmm maybe 4 years? I finished it a month ago and i want to replay it already. this has only happened to me before once, with KOTOR1. Fable 2 was also kinda good, but its too short and the ending is one of the worst ever.

Voted for Fallout 3, as that was the only one from that specific list I have played. But if Mass Effect weren't restricted to PC version only, the vote could have gone to there as well...

I've been seeing these polls for so long, I finally thought it time to register and vote as well. I gave my vote to Mass Effect, even though I'd rather have given it to the Witcher. But as only the EE version is listed - which I've not played - I couldn't, in all honesty, vote on it. It would've been a close call anyhow.
Post edited for being an idiot. Nothing to see here.

Age of Decadence won't be released in 2008, it's been confirmed on the Iron Tower Studios forum.
Any particular reason why Geneforge 5 is not in the poll? Is it because it's still Mac only and you are keeping it for next year? (Not that I would vote for it, I have not played it, I am just curious.)

" " witcher ( not EE) . I love that game too
" " Fable 2 . I enjoyed playing it. ( too many bugs)
The rest I have not play yet.
So this is very hard choice. The winner is ? | | |

I voted for The Witcher: EE edition instead as that is the only RPG I've played this year. Plus, I avoided over-hyped titles like Mass Effect and Fallout 3 because of badr experiences playing games in that vein.

My vote goes out to The Witcher: Enchanced Edition. Definitely one of the best RPGs that I've seen in the recent years. Possibly since 2004, unless I'm forgetting something.

Didn't get to play TW:EE, so my vote goes to Mass Effect instead.

Voted on Fallout 3, since it's the only one I played and overall it was a pretty decent RPG. But I guess to really form a true judgement of which one is the best, I should play all the ones released this year.
I should, but I won't.

voted on Mass Effect.
I have the praise for The Witcher: EE (I'm playing it now), but Mass Effect is so much more...BIGGER. A great beginning for a true space opera.
Can't wait for Mass Effect 2.
