I was basing my info off the fact that Codemasters told Shacknews in November that the game would be delayed until early 2009. However, after checking it out a bit more, I discovered that EBGames and Amazon both list the game with a mid-December release date. I'll see if I can get some kind of official clarification on it.

Since we now know the Rise of the Argonauts will be released a week from today, I've went ahead and removed Drakensang (since it hasn't been released in the US yet and I'm apparently limited to 10 voting options) and replaced it with Liquid Entertainment's action RPG.

Let's see... I played Fallout 3, King's Bounty, Mass Effect (plus the expansion), TW:EE (partially because it was not much different from non-EE version gameplay-wise and the new voiceover was too horrible to endure) and I am playing SoZ now. Tough choice because none of these games were up to snuff.
I have to go by the "enjoyment" factor. So... I vote for Fallout 3 because it was the most entertaining game.

The only one I played was Witcher EE. But I hope to play SoZ or Sacred later maybe. I'll vote later..

Maybe there should be a "none of the above" option...

Actually, I kind of have to agree. I am playing The Witcher EE right now and I'm impressed. It is the best game I have played in years, probably the best since PS:T.

I hesitated voting because technically the game did come out last year.. In the end, though, that is where I placed my tick

I'm still not entirely sure The Witcher counts as an RPG, however. It strikes me more as an Adventure/RPG hybrid... Ultimately it doesn't matter, though, it's a good game regardless.

In the case of the EE version, I'd recommend that to those who haven't played the original game. For those who already played the original, I'd be hesitant to do so.

In my opinion, even with the host of improvements introduced in the EE version, it still feels like playing the same game. Heck, I gave up on it after the first chapter.

My tick goes here. Waiting for the complete trilogy to try ME, and am not particulary impressed by the SoZ. Have no interest in all the other games listed.

Fallout3 for the PS3 is a kick ass game but I believe that they could have worked out more of the bugs and should let us PS3 players get the downloadable patches to expand our gaming experience. Rather than just letting the 360 and pc get it.

Out of the games I've seen and played, I voted for Kings Bounty.

Fallout 3 is a joke, honestly it was the most retarded game I've ever played. Then I got out of the vault and it became the most retarded game I've ever played. On top of that, 20th level being max level? Pfft, get lost bethesda.

Fable 2, I didn't play but I've noticed that their are two major flaws that are the main reason I won't play it even if I did have the right console. One is that there are less combat and magic options than Fable 1, and two you have a pet that does a LOT of work for you taking the "fun" out of the fable genre (not that Fable 1 was anything fun to boot).

Mass Effect, haven't played it or seen it, but someone who I consider my twin despised it and that's good enough for me. I say twin because even though we're just friends and not biologically related, for the past 8 years we've agreed with each other on most pop culture issues.

Mount and Blade, not even worth divulging into. It was so bad I would actually invest time in finding or building a time machine just to get my 15 minutes back.

NWN2 Storm Of Zehir- I like the NWN 2 series and all its expansions, but I don't love it or think it's the best.

Rise of the Argonauts-

Sacred 2 Fallen Angel- It could have been a good game, it really could have. But when you have things like EA equivalent copy protection that only serves to frustrate the consumer and a focus in building the game in only one style of video cards (I'm talking of course about the overuse of PhysX from Nvidia in video games while ATI users get left in the dust), I couldn't say this is a good game. Plot, character option and otherwise the actual gameplay was fine, I just never got the chance to fully experience it due to the above.

Space Siege- Meh, kind of a lame game, but that was expected considering Dungeon Siege 1 and 2's only purpose was graphical amusement, not gaming.

The Witcher- This was a close second to fallout 3 in being the worst game ever. It had a decent plot but the combat system was outright annoying and pointless. Fallout 3 beat it in worst game because BOTH the plot and combat system was outright annoying and pointless.

Kings bounty was the only solid, completely glitch free, and entertaining game I've played this year. It wasn't the best game of all time but I'm judging the games on this poll based on gameplay functions, entertainment, and completeness. Kings bounty delivers all three of these, simple gameplay functions but with several challenges, entertainment for hours beyond hours, and despite it being a strategy game it does in fact have a plot and a solid one to boot. There are so many options for your character to have, for you to do in the game, it's insane. The only thing I would ask them to improve upon is the journal system, a little more in depth descriptions of the quests (but keep the "you have to find out where to go because we're not giving you a compass" feel to it).
