I played three of the games on the list: Titan Quest, Oblivion and NWN2. I voted for Oblivion since it was the most fun out of the three and had better replayability. Nevertheless, all of them were very enjoyable.

I've heard from somewhere that the agreement to make Final Fantasy games for the PC ended right after Final Fantasy VIII. There could be other reasons, though.

Oblivion all da way

I obviously chose oblivion seeing how it has great quest and almost countless things you can do as well as the graphics boost and easter eggs hidden through out the game...the add on mods you could down load were cool to the only draw back is the main quest luckily the others make up 4 dat

titan quest is fun..until u reach lvl 15 or 20 when u take forever to lvl up..that's when I lost interest..
You would honestly judge a game based on how fast you level up?

DDO: Stormreach --- Haven't Played

ES IV: Oblivion --- Absolutely Terrible they went way overboard on the physics. I still would rather play morrowind

Final Fantasy XII --- Good game, had fun.

Gothic 3 --- Excellent I have much fun playing this game. Could use more character customization options though.

Guild Wars Nightfall --- Much better than the other Guild Wars Games. The Heroes actually make this one worth playing.

Justice League Heroes--- Havent played.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance--- Havent played.

Neverwinter Nights 2 --- I absolutely loved this game.

Titan Quest --- Just another Sacred/Diablo Clone.

I voted for Gothic 3.

I have played almost every one of the games listed and i most agree with every one that NWN 2 has the best story and gameplay, but i chosed Oblivion because that is the game i feel gave me the best RPG experience this year.

But as some people say and i agree, there hasn´t been any really GOOD
RPG´s this year.

But, can´t wait to play Dragon age or Mass effect, they look really cool

And what was this "best RPG experience"? Being railroaded through a plethora of fetch/kill X type of quests without any choices? The exploration which is reduced to following a compass? The riddles which are solved by journal entries? The NPC interaction which is narrowed to a comical laughably and easy to master mini-game? The linear, dull and illogical main plot? Or did you mean the character development, which isn't even needed thanks to sucking level scaling - besides being total crap? Or was it the setting, bluntly copied from Lord of the Rings, with a raped TES lore and an invasion which, oh well, doesn't really take place?

I can understand that you like Oblivion. It can be a nice action game, perhaps, although I didn't even find that part enjoyable. But saying that it provided the "best RPG experience (of) this year" (I'm sure you meant the last one, as we already have 2007) means that every other RPG that came out in 2006 would be nothing but a graphically improved Dungeon Siege cutscene. And that is not the case. In NWN 2 you can at least move your mouse.

BTW, I voted for Gothic 3. Yes, it has some bugs from which I have encountered 3 so far (mostly graphical glitches). The story is almost non-existent. Combat sucks (but is at least slightly entertaining - in contrast to combat in NWN 2). But it has a logical setting which makes sense, which is even sort of innovative as Orks aren't wild, evil beasts. It has a nice faction system, many choices and actual consequences. It's non-linear, has different endings and a relatively high replayability. Character development, although not being all that deep, is decent enough. While still being an action RPG, it's the best RPG of 2006 (I haven't played Geneforge 4 though).

That's the best and most terse summary of Oblivion's failings I've ever read.

Thanks. Funny is (or sad, you decide), the summary of Oblivion's successes is even more terse. One word, actually. Sellout.

The reason I said it gave me "the best RPG experience this year" (i ment 2006) was because NWN 2 came out so F***ing late, so didn't get to play it for so long, but you, Monolith, say that you voted Gothic 3, is kinda weird.

I would pick NWN 2 over gothic 3 any time, just because gothic is really buggy and that ruined almost all the gaming experience for me.

But i the end I understand you, because, we have a saying where i come from(Norway) "The taste is like the a**, it is splitted" and for all who understands Norwegian it "smaken er som baken, den er delt".

One moment please...

Game can be very good and superior to every other game even though it's buggy. Very good example of this is Fallout 2, which gets new and new patches and bug removals almost monthly even today, as it was and still is very, very buggy. And still many ranks it amongs the best of RPGs of all time with BGs and others...

So, being buggy doesn't mean it can not be a very good game.
