| | | What was the best RPG of 2005? With no more RPGs coming out this year, it's time to crown the best role-playing game of 2005! If you choose "Other", please post a reply listing the RPG you feel should have been on the list. |

| | | The only game I've played so far out of that list is Guild Wars, and since I think that's fantastic enough, I'll just go ahead and vote on it for now. I'd like to try Jade Empire pretty badly, though, as I have a feeling it's pretty decent. |

| | | I have also not played most of these games listed but will vote for Guild Wars. Of the listed games that I did play, this is far and away the one I have enjoyed the most. |

| | | I went with KOTOR II even though it technically came out in 2004 (on Xbox at least...) but my question is this: Where the heck is Vampire: Bloodlines???? That would definitely get my vote were it on the list... I don't want to put "other" however. |

You'll find our original newsbit about the confirmed release date here. I do agree that it probably missed out on a few '04 awards with such a late release date, but I know that it still ended up taking home at least a handful of awards from various gaming sites. | | | SW: KotOR II. Not exactly a big surprise there, eh?
Out of curiosity, for those voting other... what are the games that you have been voting for?

| | | I chose Guild Wars because it is an MMO that I am still playing and loving every second. However, in my opinion Kotor is a better game. I played through it three times. I couldn't choose between the two. It was a tough decision to make!

| | | I also gave my vote to Kotor II but had I played any other of the games up there I might have picked otherwise as Kotor II, in my opinon, did not satisfy me as much as the first.

I voted for Knights of the Old Republic II... Mainly because that is the game I am playing at the moment, that and I've never played any of the others on the list... Ha-ha... |

| | I voted for Fable, a fantastic dynamic game, and much more fun that any of the others. Also, i would not called Guild Wars an RPG, in my memory it's just a large online fighting game. Also, Kotor 2 was good, but it started off boring, and where's World Of Warcraft. If, guild wars is an RPG, then so is WOW. Another thing about Fable is that is was just the funniest game i have ever played in my life, and i quote, "Ain't he handsome that arseface."

It was released in April 2005, which is why it is on the list. World of Warcraft was released in November 2004, which is why it isn't on the list. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
