I went for the second option, although I was tempted to vote Amiga. The first computer I played games on regularly was the Amstrad 6128, possibly the best 8 bit for the home market produced.

I went for the second option (PC - Win 9x/2K/XP). Most of the games I've played fall under that category. I did play games from the DOS era but they're not many (I like them, though ).

I choose SNES, since that platform produced the best RPG's known to mankind. (At least for me.)

Voted for PC because once I have played the game I just have to pull it apart. Thats so much easier on the PC platform. Yeah am a modder at heart can't help myself.

Difficult for me to answer actually - as I've not gamed much different games yet on my Vista.
So currently - I'll go with PC DOS

(Actually have mostly run DOS Box on my new Vista rig - outside one MMOG I play)

Although I was going to vote Win95/98/XP, I decided to go for Dos instead, as most of the good games were made for Dos...

*nostalgic sigh*

I really like my PS2, but overall (in my opinion) you have more options with a PC, such as mods, better gameplay in rpgs and so on. For this reason I went with PC(Win 95/98/XP).

@Redwood87,
no need to use the angry emoticon just because you are one of the few who prefers the PS2
These forums cover a lot of games that were created for PC; only a small number of people voted for consoles generally. So really, the poll results are no huge shock

I imagine if this poll had been created in a gaming site where the demographic are mostly console players, the results would look very different. For myself, I selected Windows, but if I had to check off a console option it would be the NES/SNES, or the Wii. Different strokes and all of that.

The gaming I've done has only been on PCs, I've never used any other platform. For years I used the old Win98 OS, and this ran games like BG2 very well. I'm currently using XP Pro on a machine I recently built, and XP is a good OS for games. I see no reason to move to Vista, well, maybe for Direct X 10, but I can get near photo realism with DX 9. And XP runs games better than Vista, likely due to Vista's system overhead.
