I voted slightly better, mostly because there is little you can really improve. The new colours are very eye catching though... its a bit of a pain running on my screen, but I think I can alter it enough so that it works fine.

Very nice overall...

It was a slight jolt when I signed on today and the redirecting screen was a goldish brown instead of the old grey and black... That will take some getting used to, and the metallic and 3D looks also seem neat, well layed out...

Oh, yes, and the dropdowns work like never before.

Very nice work. The Place looks great, Buck.

I love it. it does mean I'll have to redo my gamebanshee music player skin, but it will end up looking better, so everyone wins

I voted "it's alright", there's some nice things about the web design but my major gripe is the scroll bar at the left is much too wide and the annoying flash animations make readability a bigger pain than it should be.

Hell I know ads pay for the site upkeep and makes it run great (unholy well considering the amount of posts and posters), but do all the ads have to be so obnoxious?

I'm undecided on the colour scheme... for some reason I liked the old black and gray because I'm fond of minimalist designs, but earthen colours do grow on me. Would it be possible for this site to have multiple design scripts?

Visually the improvement is excellent. I only miss the "post since last visit" button (is it somewhere still?). The "today's posts" comes close, but if what if I'm unable to check in everyday; I'll miss out on some topics, won't I?!

So I voted Slighty Better.

I didn't even realize this link was gone until another moderator pointed it out, but I'm looking into getting the feature implemented again.

Well, there is a "todays post" which might be the intended equvivalent?

With our old layout, it almost seemed like the forums were a separate entity from the main GameBanshee website. With this new layout, I wanted to make sure that all pages and forums flowed together and a visitor would always feel like they were on the same website.

To do this, I needed to keep a standard resolution, add the Banshee Network dropdown, and implement the navigation bar on the left into the forums. Now, once the rest of the site receives the new skin, I'm hoping that the entire site will feel seamless and that navigating to any page will be easy no matter where you are.

As far as the black avatar border that showed up, that's another thing I'm checking into. I don't think it will be too difficult to get rid of.

It does come close, as I already mentioned. But the "since last visit" works so much better; 1) you don't miss any topics no matter who long you've been away 2) if one checks back several times per day (I usually do, when I'm around an internet connection) I don't have to browse through all of that days posts again, all I see are the ones that came after I last checked.

Well, I prefer the old way, but it's not like this is bad or anything.

Well, one thing if I could make a suggestion that is, is a quick reply box.

That'd be cool if possible, but other than that, this is pretty alright.

Agreed it will take a bit to get used to however.

I like it, and i rely agree with the multiple skins idea, i know the MSN homepage has a choice between white and blue, im tihnkinh maybe a choice between color schemes, maybe an option ofr alil red, some blue, a dab fo green, just some fun changes in general so that once you get used to it, if you get restless its different agin.
