Oh God, I can already see it happening.

R3v4n says: Ph3ar my 1337 skillz!
Maalaakk says: OMFG U NUB L2P!

It's probably going to end up more or less like SW:G.

Call me old fashioned but if I want to game with other people, it will be over a tabletop. No MMO's for me thank you. Now because it is going to be an MMO, if the story ever ends it will take them years to get through it. To me, and yes this is only my opinion, an MMO is nothing more than a second job that I have to pay to have the privilige of having.

There are some games that make sense as an MMO. I mean, there's Stargate Worlds, and that's based off of the show with Millions of Jaffa with their own stories, millions of humans with their own stories, millions of other species with their own backgrounds, all playing a small but vital part to the survival of their species or all species in the galaxy. That makes perfect sense as an MMO.

But with Star Wars....there's got to be an epic. You can't really call it star wars unless it focuses on a few people changing the shape of the entire galaxy. And you can't really give everybody in existence their own epic story; a Star Wars MMO makes no sense and its only purpose is to rake in the cash.

I totally agree with Siberys.

I am so utterly disappointed that two of my favorite games were just written off like this, with no actual SP conclusion to the trilogy. There will be some references to the first games, apparently, like from descendants or some such. But, that is no consolation! Plus, it says on the website that Revan and The Exile went into the unknown regions and "never returned". Definitely closes the door on a SPRPG KotOR III, don't you think?

I'm in the "wait and see" camp. I prefer having a single player KotOR 3 but if that is not what we're going to get then I'll check out its MMORPG replacement.

I have played Anarchy, Age of Conan, WOW and Guild Wars and they all failed. I remmember how Warcraft got destroyed, I spent hours playing wc2 and wc3. Howevever when I got WOW I was bored after 2 weeks, it was funn at first but after a while I lost intrest. Gaining level and items could be interesting, but in the end it was all about travling and all the walcking. After reaching level 56, I did one of my smartest move in my live, sold the game for some money, thank god it had some time play left.
Il probely buy the game becouse its Bioware, but I dont have the slightest hope. I will still dream at night for a kotor 3, though with sligth chance for coming true.
It seems that MMORPG is the new trend with the childish grapich, that had such huge succes with WOW, will get implanted in this one to. While kotor 1 and 2, had a nice grapich gets transformed, so that children will play it to get max cash. While introduse children to the game, the game will get allot of annoying people in the game and making the game annoying to play and specialy to be in a party (talking from experince). Perhaps its just me who is retro, but I need something more then xp and items to drive me, I need a story.
