| | | A few flaws prevent it from being a masterpiece in my mind (combat, levelling system, item spawns, AI), its still an excellent game though. very good. |

| | | It was pretty easy to beat the main quest and some of the fraction quests, but it is still one of my favorite games i have ever played, even thought i still like morrowind better.

| | I don't have Oblivion, I'm gonna get it, its definetly amazing but the only thing I don't like is that there isn't any new races, classes, or birthsigns. Ah well its still a great game anyway. I guess you could say I give it a 9.8/10

| | | I did like that they added the Dark Brotherhood, It tied Oblivion in with Morrowind.
Spoiler:
When you become the listener for the Dark Brotherhood you will hear a little more about people in Morrowind but not anything about the previous game. But it did make me like the game more because it reminded me how much i hated the DB in Morrowind. This brought it from a 9 to a 9.5 out of 10.

You voted for the game without first having played it?

| | | Diablo94, this is a thread for people who can rate the game. Based on the game. Not based on the PR hype they've heard, or watching a friend play it for an hour, or hear raves about it from neighbors, but on how it's played.
I'm frankly inclined to remove your vote, until you actually play Oblivion.

| | | Diablo, as you haven't got the game, and haven't responded in the last 24 hours, I've removed your vote. You're welcome to put it back after you've played the title. Until then, you really can't review it in any useful sense of the word.

| | | I'm a lv 18 dark elf, listener of the dark brotherhood, grand champion of the arena, arch-mage of the guild of mages, gray fox of the thieves guild, (just) champion (but soon i'll be the master) of the guild of fighters ...
I would have rated this game as VERY VERY VERY GOOD but since there isn't this option i'm going to choose VERY GOOD (28 out of 30).
I would have rated MORROWIND AVERAGE (20 out of 30).
This difference is due to:
- graphics
- way of completing the quests more variegated
- IA increased
- the possibility of fast-travel to known locations using the map
- ...

| | | I would have put good if it was there, but I put "very good". It isn't as good as Morrowind, though.

| | | I voted 'Very Good',mostly due to its graphical wonders, although that doesn't affect me much.A lot of work deserves credit, don't you agree?
Still,it has some flaws, and i don't want to compare it with Morrowind. To Start out, here are some:
1.The Leveling system, witch is dissapointing. If all the monsters get stronger when you level up-why level up at all?
2.NPC lack so much variety. All(almost) the dark elven women(etc) have the same voicing,so it gets rather boring. You can not talk to people about variable things, only common stuff, that you get answers that don't tell you anything.
Also, they don't seem to be affected by anything ever...still the same dull voice and face that doesn't say much.I bet if you send a NPC to hell shed be smiling before she falls.
3.I dislike the fast-travel method-it takes the reality from the game.
4.Oblivion seems to lack something, something i have yet not discovered,it doesn't feel like a RPG should,i sense it.
Ofcourse there is a lot good in Oblivion.I will mention some..
1.Amazing Graphics. The development of distant land really improved it.
2.Well varied quests. There are many different types available-from Assasination to Dectective 'jobs'.
3.Amazing character creation witch allows you to costomize your character's face in every mean possible.

| | I'm voting Average, which the game itself has a nice storyline and the features shown in previous TES games are good, I believe the graphics limit it a lot. As I read in an article no current system can take on the game at full settings and acheive a playable rate. My system copes well with a great deal of games and can only cope at the lowest setting at a rate of less than 30FPS, generally.
While it is nice to have such impressive graphics, there should be better options for those with more mainstream computer systems...unless you really want to get an XBox 360 just for that. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
