| | | Would be Age of Decadence for me as well. The only game I've read up on which seems to promise to be a good RPG. |

Although Blizzard still haven’t confirmed it officially, there’s a ton of RUMORS about an unveiling of the new Diablo at Blizzcon.
| So how'd you know it comes in 2007? Where's the concrete information? |

| | I would say nowhere, since there is no mention of it even in Blizzard's homepages...

| | Yeah, and I looked it up in the sacred official website. Basically, for press coverage it linked me to- GamesRadar - PC - Sacred 2: Fallen Angel
on the actual sacred 2 website. Believe me, anything that says "expected in XXXX year" probably means it's gonna come out in that year, most likely midway into the year might I add.
In any case, it's currently at an expected release date, meaning no release date is official and thus is why it's not on this poll. |

While it is true that sometimes you need to take a few steps back to be able to move forward, I don't think the future of RPGs resides in going back to the good old days. I believe innovation can go with quality, and that originality is still possible. I think Bioware is a company that has the capacity to move forward without taking a step back.
I just hope they won't disappoint me... | Age of Decadence, at least, seems pretty innovative to me, even though it appears to be "going back to the roots" and all that. Things like the faction system, the skill synergies, the lack of "leveling up", all sorts of things like that make it clear that its not trying to be a carbon copy of older games. I consider the unique design ideas much more innovative and more "moving the genre forward" then fancy animations/graphics/voice overs etc. |

| | | Well maybe Sacred 2 will be released in 2008, but i think that it will be released earlier than Fable 2, because Sacred 2 is progressing faster(already has a lot of short trailers) and Fable has only some concept art and only starting to programm.
P.S.
I think Fable 2 will be better, than Sacred 2.

| | | I'm waiting for either Mass Effect or Dragon Age. The Mass Effect trailers and clips make it look like it'll be really good and what I've read on Dragon Age, it sounds like a pretty good one too.

I'll be glad in fact. Quote: |

| I agree entirely. What I meant with going forward was not about these kind of things, but about having new ideas, doing something new. |

| | | I don't like to ask pointless questions here but why are there a lot of people looking forward to Dragon Age when we have yet to see any actual gameplay demonstration or screenshots of this game? Sure, there are a few articles related to Dragon Age and such but I cannot look forward to a game when there are no screenshots and gameplay demonstrations because I have no idea what will this game look like and how it plays out.

| | | Being the Bioware fanboy that I am, I naturally went with Dragon Age. In second and third places, respectively are Hellgate: London and Age of Decadence.
