Unconfirmed: BioShock 2 to Feature Multiplayer

Pointing to a job listing for a lead multiplayer designer on Gamasutra, IGN seems to think that 2K Boston intends to add a multiplayer component to their BioShock sequel.

According to a job posting over at Gamasutra, 2K Boston is looking for a lead multiplayer designer for its "next big project." Since 2K is currently working on BioShock 2, that begs the question. Will BioShock 2 feature multiplayer?

While this is only speculation at this point, especially since the 2K Marin studio is actually in charge of the sequel and not 2K Boston, it is still interesting to note that position specifically requested the applicant be familiar with BioShock, and named no other specific titles. "We expect you to be familiar with BioShock and other 2K Boston/Irrational products and be able to speak critically about them," the posting noted.
