The Lord of the Rings Online Interview, Part Two

Computer Games Online has published the second portion of their The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar interview with Turbine's Jeffrey Steefel.

Q: What are some of the events that will occur in the game? What famous characters from the series will players run across?

A: It all depends on the type of character you create. One of the first major events you’ll experience, when playing the Race of Man, is the raid and subsequent burning of the town of Archet. It’s up to you to save the town and free it from the bandits who have been plaguing it. As a newbie dwarf, you’ll see Gandalf and face the result of delving too deep in the Blue Mountains… Players will encounter many of the principal characters in the books, like Gandalf, Strider, Elrond, Bilbo?, Arwen, Gimli, and Boromir, as well as lesser but still memorable characters like Barliman Butterbur, Farmer Maggot, Tom Bombadil and Otho and Lobelia Sackville-Baggins.
