GameSpot, GameSpy, and IGN have all given LucasArts and Obsidian's Star Wars: KotOR II a place in their "Game of the Year" awards.

Not only is the game a finalist in GameSpot's Best Role-Playing Game category, but it also took fifth place in GameSpy's Xbox "Game of the Year" category and earned the Best Xbox RPG and Best Xbox Story awards at IGN.
