| | Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II Interview EU Cantina has an interview with Chris Avellone, which mostly dabbles with his work on Star Wars: KotOR II. I take it the interviewer liked the game: EUC: So, we’ll start off with talking about the award-winning Knights Of The Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Now, in my mind Knights Of The Old Republic II, was one of the best RPGs ever made. What, exactly, did you do as “lead designer” of the game?
CA: I was responsible for the over-arcing storyline, the area design and scripting of Peragus (and the Harbinger), the polar cap of Telos, the initial first stage design of Nar Shaddaa (up until the point where you leave the planet), Nihilus’s warship, and Malachor V. I wrote all the companions and a good chunk of the companion’s special sequences/vignettes in the game, scripted a bunch of sequences and quests, and did layouts of the maps of the areas as well as populating them once the artists finished the areas. I was also slated to do the HK-50 droid factory on Telos, but that was one of the locales that didn’t make it into the final game. Spotted on RPGCodex. |

| Ha! What a glassy-eyed fanboi! And what a shame that people like that are allowed to conduct interviews, but hey--the fanbois of today, the newspaper reporters of tomorrow!

| | Right on Fable, but at least we know who was responsible for the scripting cock-up in the Polar base now. I wonder if the fanboi asked him to explain how he screwed that up!

| | Award-winning? I don't remember KOTOR 2 winning any awards. Plus with plot holes and half-baked ideas so obvious for an average person to take notice, one would wonder why this interviewer thinks this game is an award winner.

| | | Check the link Des, I did after posting. It's a Star Wars equivalent of a Trekky site, run by sad people that think the universe rotates around anything Star Wars. They probably gave it an award just for being a Star Wars game, without actually playing it.

| | Did a bit of leafing around afterwards. Kind of agree. It looks like a site run by die-hard Star Wars fans if you ask me. Heck, I even went over to the reviews section and all I saw was a review for some Star Wars book. Nothing on videogames and such.
