JC Smith of GameZNet let us know that they've posted a positive
preview of Shattered Galaxy, an upcoming massively multiplayer game with both RPG and RTS elements. Here's a snippet:
Each vehicle can be customized with a large variety of configuration options. Depending on the chassis you can choose between air, ground and special weapon types(or mixed weapons). For example an imp has the choice between automatic weapons which can fire at both ground and air targets or short range, but area effect flame throwers which can only affect ground targets. There are also many different variations in power, energy efficiency etc. That same imp could also be able to infiltrate enemy forces at higher technology levels and appear to be an ally to the other team. Some vehicles have cloaking devices, some have detection devices, some have mines. You can fully customize your units to your liking. I for example have a group of behemoths(large tanks) that I have not even outfitted with weapons. Rather than waste the weight on weapons I tricked them out completely with armor and health points. Their sole purpose in a battle is to get drop-lifted by my Rocs(transport ships) on to POC's at the end of battles that we might otherwise lose and attempt to remain on the POC for long enough to grant us a win despite being under heavy attack.
