Scars of War Dev Blog Update

A new update on the Scars of War dev blog reveals one of the game's races, or rather starts introducing us to the Lazar.

But they just stands there watching, and this mage, he doesn’t move, he’s still staring at Vaster like that, intense, and you can tell he’s doing something mystical, the room, it feels cold, and I can taste copper on my tongue. We stand there for all of ten minutes before I try to speak, to tell them that I need to be getting to the others outside, but the Commander, he just scowls at me again and tells me to be quiet.

We stood there for twenty minutes before I see what’s happening. Vaster’s head, it’s healing, the wound is closing! I could scarce believe my own eyes. Bentyn’s elixir, it was working on him. But it shouldn’t have, you can’t heal the dead, can you? This other fellow, he’s sweating something fierce now, but still he doesn’t move. And Vaster…he gives this great, big shudder and then starts to breathe again! I swear, he wasn’t unconscious, he was dead as a stone, we all knew it, I could see it in their eyes, they knew he was gone. And then he was breathing again! That mage, he lets go of Vaster and grins this big, tired grin at the Commander. And then all of them just leave and I’m left with Vaster, sleeping peacefully, there on my table. What was I supposed to do with the risen dead, eh?
