Post Rise of the Argonauts E3 Previews

A handful of previews for Rise of the Argonauts have appeared from E3. Kotaku.
Rise of the Argonauts also has a decision tree dialog system, much like that found in Mass Effect and similar titles. The whole game revolves around gaining favor with four different gods - Ares, Hermes, Apollo, and Athena - and the mechanic even extends to the dialog choices you make. Early on in the game you encounter the enchantress Medea, who offers you her services. Depending on which decision you make - trust her, be wary, etc. - you gain favor with one of the four gods your choices represent. The choice also effects whether Medea is locked up in your hold during the journey or free to wander the ship, so the replay value from the dialog tree alone should be immense.
WorthPlaying.
Embarking on a quest to find the Golden Fleece and revive his beloved slain wife, Jason and his trusted band of Argonauts explore the vast Aegean – a dynamic world of luscious islands, shining cities, lush jungles and deep forests - in a vibrant realisation of ancient Greece. As Jason, players will carve a unique journey through the game world as their choices incur the god’s wrath or favour, shape the plot, change the outcome of each quest and open up new story arcs.
GameSpot.
In addition to pulping an enemy's head with the mace or tossing spears into the hearts of foes from afar, you'll have access to god powers. Your choices in the dialogue tree will curry favor with either Apollo, Hermes, Aries, or Athena, who is actually an omnipotent hottie. Our Jason was currently in the good graces of Hermes, the smart-aleck god of cunning and trickery. Being the guide to the underworld for wayward spirits, Hermes granted us the power to create a portal to hell that would quickly suck into the afterlife any enemy that we knocked into the air.
