Pool of Radiance Preview

PCGamePlay was lucky enough to get their hands on a preview copy of Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor and have posted up a preview of it, giving a rundown of how it stands up to the current RPGs on the market. Here's a snippet:

Once into the game you'll notice that the same 3/4 viewpoint of Baldur's Gate is used, with animated characters on top of a pre-rendered backdrop. The major difference is the graphics, with Radiance boasting much more impressive visuals. All the characters and monsters (of which there are over 100) are 3D models and are very much larger in scale than their Baldur's Gate counterparts. The animation is incredible, with warriors and wizards silkily moving across the various forests and dungeons, and monsters flapping their wings, gnashing their teeth and flailing their tentacles with gay abandon.
