Morrowind Preview @ VE

The guys over at VoodooExtreme have written up a hands-on preview of Bethesda's upcoming Morrowind. A snippet to follow:

Travel can be accomplished by foot or by beast. One of the initial beats you will find are called Silt Striders. These mammoth bugs have controls attached to their central nervous system, and as a result are used as taxis of sort. They can take you to all the big cities - provided you pay the driver a fee of course. Personally, I found it somewhat rewarding to travel everywhere on foot. Just follow the roads and signs, and you'll find what you're looking for eventually. Of course there are some dangers involved - thieves, monsters, and other shady creatures inhabit the world of Morrowind, and most of them aren't your best friends. One day I decided to just start running and see where I ended up - in the end, I had ran for about 45 minutes, come across three majors cities, two encampments, and one band of robbers who promptly took all my money. I attempted to take it back, unsuccessfully.
