Post Mass Effect X06 Trailer Released

As promised on Thursday, BioWare has released four different versions of the Mass Effect trailer they had on display at Microsoft's X06 event earlier this year.

Downloading the trailer right now, though it's from Gametrailers. I will comment on it when it's done.

Comments:
Based on that trailer, the decision/conversation choice seem to remind me of the options used in Dreamfall: The Longest Journey when conversing with other characters, except that, in Mass Effect, the decision you choose will have an impact on the game. As for the voice acting, they're good, except for that female team member who sound very whiny indeed.

The combat system, I would say, looks slightly similar to Freedom Fighters, except that you have the ability to modify weapons and use some telekinesis powers. As for the command system, it is also slightly similar to Freedom Fighters in the sense that you can order individual team members to move to a certain location but there are some differences such as pausing and issuing orders. Not to mention the fact that you can cycle between individual members. The AI is fairly decent, though the fact that the alien guy just stood there and not look for cover after switching to another character is what I'm concerned about.

There they throw around the word 'classic' again so lightly. Not only do I agree with Fable and Dragon Wench here, but I think it's used in error too. When I think of 'a classic science fiction movie' I think of Logan's Run or Westworld. Not something that looks like they hired a guy from Lost in Space. Oh well, they could've just said that it looks sweet and plays like a movie.

I can't really say anything about the gameplay yet, so my points of concern are similar to KOTOR/JE. How large will the game areas be, will I be loading back and forth different areas a lot, is my movement through the game world largely limited to plot development, etcetera.

the gameplay looks good. BUT i most agree with DesR alittle , it reminds me of freedom fighters, with the autoaim and all. but it still looks like a cool game.
