Baldur's Gate II has officially reached its five-year anniversary today and we're celebrating the event by releasing updated content for the epic RPG, an interview with its lead designers, and an editorial entitled "Baldur's Gate II: The T-Rex of RPGs". Sift through the goods:

Enjoy!

BG2 is forever the benchmark I set up to judge CRPGs - or should I say CRPG-Lites for all the eyecandy, stupid puzzles and fast easy gameplay makes for mediocre CRPGs at the least. (No assigning a point of strenght is not characterdvelopment!!! )

Danged - I wish we could turn back time so I could experience the joy of playing Baldurs Gate series for the first time again

I should also mention that an anniversary for Baldur's Gate II is more or less an anniversary for GameBanshee. I officially launched the site at the beginning of September 2000, just a couple of weeks before the game was released. And, thanks to BG2, the site grew in both content and community at an amazing pace.

So... here's to five years of running GameBanshee as well!

And to think, Xan, aside from Buck, I think we're the other two senior members still active here
