GameSpy's Most Wanted Games of 2004, Part Three

GameSpy continues their new feature in which they count down the top 40 games they're looking forward to in 2004. In the third installment, they reveal #25 through #17, which includes World of Warcraft. A snippet:
Blizzard is heading into the MMO space with a title that just looks awesome. The game sports a dynamic and robust quest and looting system that provides both solo players, groups, and guilds with plenty of content and reasons to go adventuring. Rather than just tool around in the world trying to jack up your level and find stuff, players will actually feel like they're taking part in the ongoing saga that is life in Azeroth.

The best thing about the game, though, isn't the technology or the different systems that Blizzard is putting into place. According to the team, World of Warcraft may be the first major MMO that's NOT being designed as an enormous social experiment where players have to generate their own content. Instead, World of Warcraft is being designed first and foremost as a game and is being filled with interesting things to do, see, and acquire. Blizzard has promised that its number one priority is to kill the "level grind" that drags down the fun factor in most other MMOs.
