In the wake of the monolithically successful Diablo II, surely anything but Diablo III (or Starcraft 2, maybe) is bound to be a disappointment, right? Well, not if those Blizzard boys have their way. The legendary developer's next release is Warcraft III which, so it's promised, will change the face of real-time strategy games forever.
I have been a huge fan of RTS games since Dune II. In fact, RTS is the genre that made me an avid gamer. From that perspective, I truly hope they deliver on the "change the face of real-time strategy games" line. The RTS market has been rather stagnant the last few years and most online play involves very little strategy. Ironic, eh? Anyway, why are you here reading my ramblings when you could be reading about WarCraft III?
