Post Fallout 3/Van Buren Screenshots and Video Footage

Yep, you read that right. The guys at No Mutants Allowed have gotten their hands on ten new screenshots and actual gameplay footage from a tech demo that Black Isle Studios had originally created for their version of Fallout 3 (Van Buren).

Personally, I think that video footage is amazing. Even though it's obvious that the technology is much more advanced, the overall look is perfectly in tune with the previous two installments, the animation is surprisingly fluid, and the dialogue tree that's shown looks to have as much depth as one could have hoped for. If there was any doubt whatsoever that Black Isle's version of the sequel wouldn't have carried the series in the right direction, this pretty much dispels it.

Now we just have to wait and see how Bethesda's version compares, I guess.

That footage floored me. Where on earth did they get that material? It is also mean, seeing as how this title will never come to be.

That footage reminds me a little bit of the first Postal (I've only seen it but never played before). Never been fond of isometric view games if you ask me.

I'm totally speechless...

That video was just fantastic, it was clear from very beginning that it could have been the game which desevres to be Fallout 3

Guess it is time to see if I can get my Fallout/Fallout 2 to run on Vista 64bit - need to play it again after seeing what we'll not see again.
