Fable II Nearing Gold Status

Kotaku chatted with the Lionhead folks at PAX on Fable II's development status and learned that the game is very close to gold.

Fable 2 is days, if not hours from going gold, Lionhead Studio's Sam Van Tilburgh told me today.

"We have one or two bugs that are keeping us from going gold," Van Tilburgh said.

Even though the game, due out Oct. 21, is on the verge of wrapping up, the dev team is still keeping late night hours, he said.

Eh? I thought Mr. Molyneux said the game went gold ages ago on E3?

No, he said it was "basically finished" at the time of E3, if I recall correctly.

Just like Fallout 3 is mostly done. Both games will go gold soon.
