Turbine and IGN have teamed up to offer a free preview of Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach to registered FilePlanet users. To sweeten the deal, everyone who participates in the preview has a chance of winning an Alienware Area 51 m5500 notebook PC. The details:

Turbine is very pleased to announce that we will be running a special Preview of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS ONLINE: Stormreach in conjunction with IGN and FilePlanet!

This Preview is open to players in North America who are registered Fileplanet users (a paid FilePlanet subscription is NOT required). Only U.S. residents age 18 and over are eligible to win prizes.

Beginning today, January 13, all registered FilePlanet users in North America can sign-up for the chance to access the DDO Preview, which will run from Thursday, January 19 through Saturday, January 21. Preview access will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis until the allotted Preview registration keys have been distributed by FilePlanet. If you are not currently a registered FilePlanet user, you can visit FilePlanet right now to create an account and then sign up for the DDO Preview.

Before the Preview begins, we will also be hosting a stress test of our billing system on January 17. Players who receive a DDO Preview registration key from FilePlanet will be able to register their DDO Preview account on January 17 starting at 8 p.m. EST. The first 500 players who successfully register their account will automatically win a one month subscription to Fileplanet. In addition, all players who register an account between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. EST will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win an Alienware® Area 51® m5500 Notebook, GeForce 7800 GT graphics cards, Logitech peripherals, or one of many other prizes!

During the Preview event, Turbine Admins will be logging in at random times and asking Dungeons & Dragons® related trivia, giving players a chance to win 10 day DDO game cards (valid for 10 free days of DDO access once the game ships, requires purchase of the full, commercial release version of DDO for use) and a chance to win a signed and framed piece of DDO concept art.
