Deus Ex Sales Figures

Voodoo Extreme is offering up some sales figures for Eidos and Square Enix's games that were released to shareholders following the latter's purchase of the former. Of most interest to us is that Deus Ex has sold just over a million copies to date, while Deus Ex: Invisible War has enjoyed roughly 10-15% more sales than its predecessor.

Considering that the original game has received positive buzz throughout its 8+ years on the market, it surprises me that it hasn't sold more.

Hmm. I didn't know Kane & Lynch did pretty well even though it was panned by the critics (and I admit that it feels like a 6-7/10 game, to be honest). Well, IO did admit that they could have done better with the game, so no hard feelings there. Hope they can do better in the future.

Anyway, I do find the figures for Deus Ex somewhat suspect. Sure, maybe the original did sell a million, but how long did it take to reach that mark? A few weeks? A few months?
