BlizzCon 2008 to be Televised

Eurogamer points out that this year's BlizzCon will be viewable on television in the US via a pay-per-view deal that Blizzard inked with DirecTV.

Blizzard has signed a deal with pay-per-view channel DIRECTV to televise the third annual BlizzCon gathering, where real humans dress like elves.

Tickets have already gone on sale for the event taking place at the Anaheim Convention Centre in, well, Anaheim, California on 10th and 11th October.

DIRECTV is only available in the US, sadly, but those with access can watch a minimum of eight hours of high definition coverage - for free if you are a new subscriber to the channel.
