RPGVault is reporting that Artifact Entertainment will be laying off employees even though the launch of Horizons: Empire of Istaria has brought in tens of thousands of subscribers. A clip to follow: Artifact Entertainment, Inc. developer of the critically acclaimed, massively multiplayer online game Horizons: Empire of Istaria is in the process of adjusting the company in order to meet the demands and the goals established with the recent launch. Launching December 5th in Europe and December 9th, 2003 in North America, Horizons is already serving tens of thousands of players. As part of this plan Artifact will be eliminating positions within the company in order to focus on the key elements of supporting and growing Horizons. |
