| | All Time Best SNES RPGs The guys over at Casualty Gamer have put together a list of their six favorite role-playing games on the 15+ year old Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Final Fantasy III and Chrono Trigger are included, as expected: Chrono Trigger was developed by what Square called the “Dream Team” containing developers from the Final Fantasy and the Dragon quest series, music from renowned video game music composers Yasunori Mitsuda & Nobuo Uematsu, and character design and artwork from famed creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama.
Chrono Trigger is, in my opinion, by far the best RPG to be released on the SNES (albeit never released in Australia *sob*). Although it may have every role playing cliché possible, this game uses them in such a way to make an extremely captivating experience.
If you have played it I need not say more about how great a game Chrono Trigger is, and if you have not played it I suggest you go find a copy ASAP! |

| | | There's a lack of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on that list, but I suppose it doesn't really count as a RPG since you don't level up.
Adventure game perhaps.

Adventure game perhaps. | Make that an action/adventure game, since you can whack people with a sword.

| | | I agree, a lack of Zelda, and maybe Terranigma. Crono does deserve its spot, though, as does FFVI. Strange that FFV wasn't on the list. But since it never appeared in the US/Australia/Europe on the SNES, it probably doesn't count for those editors. |

| | I remember Chrono well, had a blast with it
I hope they decide to do a remake for the Wii, along with Super Mario: Legend of the Seven Stars.
Good times!
