Rankings of Members

How does the ranking system work. I have seen "member" (myself), "Exalted Member" (like Sytze), and "Banned" (I forget this guy's name.)

Just asking.

You start out as member.
After 50 posts you become Exalted Member.
When you break the forum rules you get banned.
When you moderate a forum you become Moderator

And when you contribute to gamebanshee you can have a custom title.

Custom titles have been removed, except for a few remainders.
The contribution plan is currently not in effect anymore as far as I know, because it was to much bother for to little.

Thus custom titles aren't possible currently - which you would have known if you had read a few newer posts made after this one had died out, 2 years ago.
